How Does GFA World Fulfill the Call to Go and Tell the Good News to The World?
The call to “go and tell the Good News” resonates through the work of GFA World, bringing hope to those who are often forgotten. As the Bible reminds us, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” (Romans 10:15). This mission is not just about words—it’s about action, relationship and love that changes lives.
For decades, we at GFA World have faithfully served communities in Asia, and now in Africa, by addressing both physical and spiritual needs. Our ministry has provided essential aid like clean water, education and medical care to those who lack it while also showing the love of Christ in profound and practical ways. Our national missionaries are uniquely equipped to serve their communities. They understand the culture, speak the language and share the struggles of those they serve, creating opportunities for transformation that are personal and impactful.[1]
One A shining example of this impact is seen in Asia, where outcast women, once begging, now use their hands to generate income. Through a GFA-supported initiative for International Women’s Day, scores of women received sewing machines to become self-sufficient. One grateful recipient said, “Now I will stitch clothes for others and support my husband financially.” Through this tangible gift, they not only found hope but discovered they are not forgotten and have unique value in God’s sight.”[2]
A powerful testimony is that of a village transformed by GFA World’s clean water initiative. Plagued by a water crisis, villagers would walk four miles for salty water or drink from stagnant sources causing disease. The installation of a deep-drilled Jesus Well brought not only fresh, clean water but a breakthrough in local hearts. This tangible act of love opened doors for deeper faith conversations. As one resident shared, “This is just because of God’s grace. With our God only this has happened.”[3]
GFA World also serves marginalized communities, like those suffering from leprosy. Sister Geeta, a GFA missionary, continues to bring compassion and healing to those afflicted through literacy classes, medical care and spiritual encouragement. Her testimony echoes the heart of the ministry: “If we didn’t serve them, who would? Everything we do flows from God’s love.”[4]
Through these efforts, GFA World embodies the call to love our neighbors as Christ loves us. By partnering with us, you too can be part of bringing hope to the ends of the earth. Together, we can go and tell the Good News—not just in words, but in transformative actions that reflect God’s compassion.
